Deanie D. "Dee" Ball

Deanie D. “Dee” Ball, age 80, of Gas City, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022 at Colonial Oaks Healthcare in Marion.

Dee was born on January 8, 1942 in Breckinridge, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Robert Thurman and Mary (Smith) Sosh.   She worked at RCA for many years.  Dee was a hard-working woman and raised her family.  She was a 34 year member of First General Baptist Church in Marion, and donated regularly to the Humane Society.

She is survived by a son, Glen Ball; two daughters, Vicki (Allan) Reagan and Lisa (Mason) Cox; brothers, Whitey Thurman, Raymond Sosh and Mike Sosh; two sisters, Sheila Ashba and Bertie Ball; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Jim Thurman; and her step-mother, Edna Thurman.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.   Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Allan Reagan officiating. 

Burial will immediately follow funeral services at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Marion (Huntington County), Indiana.
