Donald L. Dale

Donald L. Dale, age 79 of Marion passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at DuPont Hospital, Ft. Wayne, Indiana.

Donald was born on July 28, 1942 in Marion, Indiana the son of the late Robert and Gladys (Wright) Dale.  He was a graduate of Swayzee High School.

He married Rozetta Coffey on February 17, 1990, and she preceded him in death in 2006.  Donald worked at General Motors as a tow motor driver and retired in 1993 after 30 years.  He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and was an avid Cubs, Colts and NASCAR driver Dale Jarrett fan.

He is survived by his children, Barry Gibson of Arizona, Donald O. Dale, Jr. of Marion, Patrick J. Dale of Marion, Todd (Angie) Dale of LaFontaine, and Dawnya Clark of Marion; sisters, Karen Cain of Marion and Joyce (Robert) Mathger of Swayzee; brothers, Ronald (Linda) of Wabash and Daniel Dale of Swayzee; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Tracie Renee Dale; sister, Bonnie Watkins; brothers, William “Billy” Dale and Robert “Bob” Dale; and grandchildren, Aubrey and Austin Dale.

Visitation for friends and family will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Noon) on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.  Funeral Services will begin at Noon with Evangelist Ryan Weaver officiating.

Burial will follow funeral services in Grant Memorial Park Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.
