Donna S. Monts

Donna S. Monts, age 83 formerly of Sweetser, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Wesleyan Health and Rehabilitation Center in Marion.

Donna was born March 16, 1939 in Shelbyville, Indiana the daughter of the late Charles Joseph and Helen May (Leffler) Mofford.  She married Ralph Monts on December 28, 1956, and they enjoyed 56 years together.  Ralph preceded her in death on March 16, 2013.  Donna was a very talented seamstress and a member of Sunnycrest United Methodist Church.  She loved playing BINGO at the Eagles Lodge and Round Robbins.

Donna is survived by her daughters, Deborah (Alan) Austin of Swayzee, Rebecca (Rob) Parnell of Peru, Diana Towne of Scottsdale, Arizona and Tina (Tony) Cundiff of Omaha, Nebraska; a sister, Sandra Hale of Florida; grandchildren, David (April) Austin, Brad (Julianne) Austin, Holly (Steve) Eiler, Miranda (Garon) Losure, Kelsie (Cameron) Hawkins, Alana (Anthony) DeVito, Alexandra (Tony) Fewell and Gabrielle (Colbie) Fewell; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.  Visitation will also be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2022 prior to the funeral service.   Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jason Camery officiating.  Cremation will follow funeral services with burial at Marion National Cemetery, Marion, Indiana at a later date.
