George Francis Clupper, age 82, of Van Buren, Indiana and Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2023, at Baptist Health, Heber Springs, Arkansas.
George was born November 6, 1940 in Marion, Indiana the son of the late Francis Burton and Mary Catharine (Akers) Clupper. He married Donna Wright on January 7, 1962, she preceded him in 2014. On September 6, 2015 he married Janice Boller Stratton and she survives In Heber Springs, Arkansas. George was employed at Bradford Plumbing Heating and Cooling as an plumbing and heating specialist and as Pipefitter with the VA in Marion.
He was a member of Cleburne County Baptist Church of Heber Springs and Hanfield Global Methodist Church in Marion. George enjoyed being part of the Van Buren Lions Club, Eastbrook Band boosters, and Boy Scouts of America for many years. He enjoyed antique tractors and looked forward to going to tractor shows in Warren and Tipton Indiana. George was an experienced woodworker and well known for his beautiful woodworking pieces. He made several pieces of furniture for his family and friends.
George is survived by his wife Janice, his children Scott (Stacy) Clupper of Van Buren IN, Michael (Monique) Clupper of Valdez AK, Randy Stratton of Fishers IN, Debbie (Kevin) Kuhn of Tipton IN, Christine (Darryl) Brane of Van Buren IN, and Robin (Michael) Krogman of Bacliff TX. George is also survived by Grandchildren; Jacob Clupper, Jaren Clupper, Danielle (Jordan) Hooker, Dylan Sorenson, Darby (Alek) Martens, Ethan Clupper, Evan Clupper, Weston Clupper, Kurtis (Laura) Kuhn, David (Emily) Kuhn, Trevor (Breanna) Brane, Seth Brane, Tyler Stratton, Lily Stratton, Madison Stratton, Mathew Krogman and 4 great-grandchildren with 2 on the way.
Friends and family may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 6, 2023, at Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana. Visitation will also take place from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at the funeral home prior to funeral services.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Curtis Banker officiating.
Burial will take place at Van Buren Masonic Cemetery, Van Buren, Indiana immediately following funeral services.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to a scholarship fund the family will establish for an Eastbrook High School Senior that will study a vocational trade. Memorials can be sent to Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home or envelopes will be available at the viewing.
