Grace Higginbotham

Grace Higginbotham, age 83 of Marion passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 in her home surrounded by her family.

Grace was born on July 23, 1937 in Marion, Indiana the daughter of the late Ernest and Vivian (Goins) Hile.   She married Burlie M. Higginbotham, Sr. on October 24, 1953, and he preceded her in death on December 21, 2020. 

She is survived by a daughter, Marilyn Burns of Marion; brother, Robert (Sharon) Sherman of Marion; sisters, Betty (Kenneth) Oliver of Marion and Virginia (Jim) Burns of Evansville; five grandchildren, Burlie Higginbotham III of Sweetser, Maranda Higginbotham of Marion, Larry Burns, Jr. of Marion, Richard Burns of Marion, Todd Burns of Marion and Josh Trees of Marion; and several great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two sons, Paul Lewis and Burlie Higginbotham, Jr.; a daughter, Kathy Jo Higginbotham; and two brothers, Larry and Samuel Sherman.

Friends and family may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 1, 2021 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.  Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Chaplain Darrell Smith officiating.

Burial will follow funeral services in Grant Memorial Park Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.
