Jennifer (Myung OK) Spurgeon-La Point

Jennifer (Myung OK) Spurgeon-La Point, age 57 of Noblesville passed away April 8, 2019 in Riverview Hospital, Noblesville, Indiana.

Jennifer was born July 15, 1961 in Seoul, South Korea.  Her journey to America began at the Holt Adoption Agency in 1970 when she was adopted by Frances and Al Spurgeon at the age of 8 ½. 

Jennifer graduated from Marion High School in 1982.  She moved to Noblesville and worked at Goodwill Industries for many years, and was “Employee of the Year” for two consecutive years.  She attended Noblesville First United Methodist Church where she was very active in the church, especially with bible study.  Jennifer touched the lives of so many, and her journey continues.

Jennifer’s family would like to thank the staff of Riverview Hospital, Paradigm Health, Shepherd’s Center, Noblesville First United Methodist Church and Dr. Daniel Frick for being so caring and good to Jennifer throughout her illness.

She is survived by her mother, Frances; daughter, Kara; siblings, Kanani King, David Spurgeon, Cathy Faidley, Philip Spurgeon, Chris Spurgeon and Mary Anne Carr; and nieces and nephews.

Private burial services were held for Jennifer at Estates of Serenity Cemetery in Marion, Indiana.
