Jo Ann Ellet

Jo Ann Ellet, age 85, of Marion, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Colonial Oaks Healthcare Center in Marion with her loving husband by her side.

Jo Ann was born on October 2, 1937, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, the daughter of the late Jody Stratton and Mary Cauble. 

She married Carl Ellet on April 2, 1955, and he survives.  She was a LPN at Marion General Hospital for 22 years until her retirement.  Jo Ann was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Marion.

She loved to dance and shop.  Those were her favorite past times.  She also enjoyed her grandchildren and loved her family.  Jo Ann fell in love with Carl Ellet and his beautiful blue eyes, she absolutely adored him! 

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Carl Ellet; three sons, Jody (Stephanie) Ellet, Michael (Judy) Ellet and Carl Ellet, Jr.; 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Stratton; and brothers-in-law, Douglas Ellet, David Wayne Ellet and Ronnie Ellet.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 in the funeral home.

Burial will immediately follow the funeral service in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Marion (Huntington County), Indiana.
