John E. Bozell

John E. Bozell, age 87 of Marion passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at home. 

John was born on April 10, 1934 in Summitville, Indiana the son of the late Glen and Mildred (Addison) Bozell.   

He was a lifelong farmer.  When he was younger, he was an avid coon hunter, raising Redbone Hounds.  He won the World Hunt in the mid 70’s with his dog, Woodpecker.  He was also an arrowhead collector and had a gift for finding them.  John was a great Dad and Papa.  He was cherished by his family.  After retirement, he became a full-time Papa.

He is survived by two daughters, Teresa Bozell and Pam Bozell, both of Marion; one granddaughter, Johnna M. (Justin) Fritch; three great-grandchildren, Christopher, Isaac and Daniel; and nephew, Steve (LuAnn) Randol of Summitville.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, James E. Bozell and a sister, Rosemary Randol.

Visitation will take place from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.  Viewing will also take place from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 21, 2021 in the funeral home prior to funeral services.  Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Matthew Trexler officiating.  Cremation will follow funeral services.
