Judith M. Highley

Judith M. Highley, age 95, formerly of Upland passed away on October 28, 2021 in Ft. Myers, Florida.

Judith was born on May 31, 1926 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana the daughter of the late Oscar “Pete” Bowman and Helen (Lewis) Bowman.  She married Harold Edmund Highley on October 14, 1945, and he preceded her in death on September 16, 1999. 

Judith lived the majority of her life farming in Upland.  She was also a bookkeeper and accountant for Eastbrook Schools and the Veteran’s Hospital in Marion.  When she was in her 80’s, she got a job at the Home Depot in Cape Coral, Florida, and when she left they put her on the re-hire list.

She is survived by a daughter, Sharon (Steve) Blotkamp of Ft. Wayne; two grandsons, Chad and Matt Blotkamp; 7 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. 

She was also preceded in death by a son, Jon Highley and a sister, Carol Sue Brothers.

Visitation will take place from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.  Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 a.m.

Burial will follow funeral services in the Mississinewa Memorial Cemetery, Wabash, Indiana.
