Linda L. Shafer

Linda L. Shafer, age 80 of Marion passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022 in her home.

Linda was born on February 24, 1941 in Muncie, Indiana the daughter of the late Ira and Anna (Swafford) Flick.  She married Clayton Shafer on September 13, 1985, and he preceded her in death on January 25, 2016.

Linda was a psychiatric nursing assistant at the Marion VA Hospital for 20 years retiring in 2003.   She was a former member of the Marion Moose.

She is survived by two sons, Eric Grant of Minnesota and Douglas Grant of Texas; two daughters, Beth (Ty) Powell of Gas City and Brenda Mills of Marion; a sister, Phyllis (Bob) Baker of Muncie; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; special friend, Chaya Ybarra of Jonesboro; and her fur baby, Buddy.

She was also preceded in death by her step-father, Lawrence P. Geise.

Funeral Services will be private.
