Patricia A. Shields-Heinzelman

Patricia A. Shields-Heinzelman, age 73 of Marion passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2021 in her home surrounded by her family.

Patricia was born on January 5, 1948 in Anderson, Indiana the daughter of the late Russell and Mildred (Schacker) Chapple.  She married John Heinzelman in 2007, and he survives.

She worked at RCA (Thompson Consumer Electronics) for 38 years until her retirement in 2003.  She enjoyed crocheting and needlepoint, and listening to the Beach Boys and country music. 

She is survived by her husband, John Heinzelman of Marion; son, Brad (Kim) Gordon of Yorktown; daughters, Melissa (Sam) Colwell of Decatur, Darcie Brooks of Muncie and Dawn (John) Bryant of Anderson; brother, Russell Chapple of Anderson; grandchildren, Wyatt (Delight) Gordon, Bryce Shields, Chelsea Brooks, Harley Mahnke, Gage Mahnke and Kassidy Bryant; two great-grandchildren; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Corwin.

Visitation will take place from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.  Funeral Services will begin at 5:00 p.m. with Reverend Tom Mansbarger officiating.

Cremation will follow funeral services with private burial at Huntsville Cemetery in Pendleton, Indiana at a later date.
