Posey Ray Brown, Sr.

In loving memory as Posey Ray Brown Sr. goes on his last road trip on July 14, 2020.

Posey’s life passion was a “Road Trip”, riding his Harley, camping, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.  Posey’s wish was to be cremated and set free among the shrimpies.

Posey was born January 12, 1947 in Falcon, Kentucky the son of the late Bill and Lousie (Border) Brown.  He was an Army veteran, a member of the Local 166, the Plumber and Steam Fitters Union, the American Legion Post 10 and the Amvets Post 5.

He is survived by the love of his life and life partner, Judy Ricks of Marion; sons, Posey Ray Brown, Jr. (wife, Elizabeth)and Robert Brown, both of North Carolina; sister, Pamela (Brown) Walker of Ohio; life-long friend and “Bro” Robert Parsons of Ohio; grandchildren, Nicholas Ray Brown of N. Carolina, Austin Mitchel Brown of N. Carolina, Lexie Brown of Kentucky, and Noah Lee Brown of N. Carolina; and his faithful K-9 family, Winnie and Gunner.

Arrangements entrusted to Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions and well wishes may be made to the No Kill Shelter where Posey got his K-9 Winnie, the Marion-Grant County Humane Society, 505 S. Miller Avenue, Marion, Indiana 46953.  These donations will be much appreciated.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at the Amvets Post 5, 705 W. 37th Street, Marion,Indiana.
