Vicki Lynn Connett

Vicki Lynn Connett, age 67, of Marion, went to be with The Lord on Friday, October 19, 2018. She passed away peacefully at her residence while surrounded by family and song.

Vicki was born September 24, 1951 in Shelbyville, Indiana the daughter of the late Harry and Betty (Anderson) Yeakle.  She married Richard Connett on November 11, 2005 and he survives in Marion.

She was a member of Lighthouse Assembly of God in Marion. She loved her church family and her church very much. Vicki was a prayer warrior and constantly prayed over her family.  Vicki was a fantastic housewife and loved to take care of children.  In fact, being a day care provider was much more of a hobby than a job! She was a “bonus” grandma for the children she took care of. She also enjoyed going to rummage sales, playing bingo, camping, fishing, and singing for God. At Christmas time she enjoyed baking and passing out “goodie boxes”.

In addition to her husband Vicki is survived by four children, Stacy Dils, Steve (Erica) Shreves, Brian Shreves and Annette Roberts; two sisters, Patty Kerschner, and Carol (John) Lawson; six brothers, Wes Yeakle, Daryl (Robin) Yeakle, Jay (Malaya) Yeakle, Tony Yeakle, Greg (Stephanie) Yeakle and Tim (Danney) Yeakle; and one brother-n-law, Clarence Williams; twenty grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Vicki was preceded in by her parents, Harry and Betty Yeakle and one sister, Barbara Williams.

Friends and family may call from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m.

Burial will take place at Estates of Serenity, Marion, Indiana immediately following funeral services.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Help the Hopeful, c/o Raven-Choate Funeral Home or to the family to assist with final expenses.
