Office Manager/Pre-Need Sales Advisor

Brenda has been with the funeral home since March 1996. She was born in Marion and has lived in Grant County all her life. She is a graduate of Mississinewa High School and Wright School of Cosmetology.  She is also a licensed Pre Need Sales Representative for the funeral home and enjoys assisting families in their time of need.

She is the mother of daughter, Lyndsay Speikes (husband, Corey) of Frederick, Maryland; and son, Justin Whitton of Dayton, Ohio.  She is also the proud "Nana" of two granddaughters, Madison & Keira Speikes and grandson, Jamison Speikes.

Brenda enjoys cooking, reading, bowling, playing shuffleboard, traveling to the beach and spending time with family and special friends.  She and her husband, Greg reside in Gas City and are members of the Gas City Moose Lodge  and the American Legion, Fairmount.

Scott is a 2001 graduate of Mid-America College of Funeral Service.  He has been serving the families of Grant, Huntington and Wabash Counties for the last 16 years.  He is a licensed Funeral Director and began working at Raven-Choate Funeral Home in January 2017.   

Scott and Shelly were married in 1996, and they have three children: Kimberly (David) Branning, Ft. Wayne, Dakota Robinson, Phoenix, Arizona and Brandon (Adrienne) South Whitley, Indiana.  They also have five grandchildren, Tasha, Bentley, Everett, Brooklyn and Killian.

Scott is a veteran of the Indiana Army National Guard and served two tours in Iraq. He is a member of the VFW Post 7403, Marion, the American Legion Post 95, Jonesboro, and a life member of the AmVets Post 5 Marion.  Shelly is a member of the women's auxiliary of the AmVets Post 5 Marion, and the Lion's Club.

They enjoy spending time with their family, riding their Harley, fishing and canoeing.  Scott and Shelly reside in Fairmount, Indiana.  They are avid fans of the St. Louis Cardinals.

On January 13, 2023, Scott and Shelly purchased Raven-Choate Funeral Home from former owner Charles Choate.   The funeral home name has now changed to Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home.  The service to you and your family will remain unchanged and held to the high standards that you have become accustomed to.
