Paul E. Grogan, age 94, of Marion, passed away at 3:03 p.m. Monday, December 26, 2016 in his residence.

Paul was born on July 5, 1922, in Pontiac, Michigan the son of the late George and Lula (Kemp) Grogan.  He married Bettie J. Saunders, and she preceded him in death on May 20, 2004. They were married 57 years. 

Paul worked at General Motors in Marion for 40 years as a Supervisor in Production Scheduling, retiring on January 1, 1980.  He was also a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, First Division, serving during WWII at Guadalcanal.

He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church since 1956, the Marion Elks Club where he served as secretary, the American Legion Van Buren, and the GM Sympathy Club.

Paul is survived by three sons, Paul F. (Pam) Grogan of Carmel, Indiana, Mark (Mary Jo) of Anderson, and John P. Grogan (partner, Linda S. Hillsamer) of Marion; two daughters, Patty (Mark) Claerbout of Bloomington, and Ann (Marc) Robertson of Hebron, Indiana; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Louis Grogan, infant daughter, Katherine Grogan and great-granddaughter, Regan McCaslin.

Funeral Mass Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 30, 2016 at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1009 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana with Father Richard Weisenberger officiating.

Burial will immediately follow funeral mass services in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Huntington County, Indiana.
