James W. Keifer, age 76, of Marion, passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2017 in Wesleyan Health Care Center, Marion, Indiana.

James was born on January 15, 1941 in Bluffton, Indiana the son of the late Floyd and Margaret “Joann” (Huss) Keifer.  He was an Army veteran.

James was a farmer and factory worker and retired from nursing at the VA Medical Center in Marion after 20 years. 

He was a member of the Maple Run Friends Church in Marion and loved to go fishing and golfing when he could.

He is survived by two sons, Philip Keifer of Ft. Wayne and Robin Keifer of Marion; a daughter, Donna Keifer of Marion; two brothers, Larry Keifer (Esther) of Marion and Bill Kiefer (Donna) of California; and a grandson, Kyng William Karter Keifer.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Sharon (Rennaker) Keifer.

Friends and family may call from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 in Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.  Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor John Key officiating.

Entombment will be in Grant Memorial Park Cemetery, Marion, Indiana following the funeral service.
